It was ultimately Pride that sank her, not just the Iceberg; not enough lifeboats, for they were considered unnecessary. After all, what were the chances that such a magnificent ship could sink on her maiden trip? Better skip the additional lifeboats and leave more room for the decks for a truly comfortable journey. Indeed.
